DOC Diesel Oxidation Catalysts

Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) are catalytic converters designed specifically for diesel engines and equipment to reduce carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), and soluble organic fractions (SOF). It can be used in combination with CDPF or SCR/SCRF due to its ability of oxidizing NO to NO₂ which improves the passive regeneration and fast-SCR reaction. Injected fuel can also be fast catalytically ignited to initiate the active regeneration of DPFs. A series of oxidation reactions release heat at the same time, raising the exhaust temperature.

The diesel oxidation catalyst is coated with porous activated alumina on the channel wall of honeycomb ceramic carrier or metal carrier( γ- Al2O3) as the second carrier to increase the specific surface area of the inner wall, various rare earth metal oxides need to be added to the alumina coating as catalytic additives, and precious metals are mainly made of platinum (PT) and other active catalytic substances.
